Founded in 1877, Timperley Sports Club is one of the oldest remaining sports club in the country as a whole. Starting life as a Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club, it survived 9 years before the eventual addition of a Men's Hockey Section in 1886.
Since then the club has grown to incorporate Lacrosse in 1970, soon after followed by the development of all weather pitches in 1982 which have really shaped the layout and functionality of the Club today.
More recently in 2016 the Club welcomed the addition of a Junior Football section in Timperley FC, the first time internal club football having been played on site in nearly 140 years.
