4. Lacrosse


Timperley Lacrosse Club is one of the largest lacrosse clubs in the country, with teams covering all genders and ages. The club comprises three senior men's teams, one senior women's team and junior boys and girls teams from U10 ages upwards. Its senior teams play at the highest possible standard in the Northern Premier Division.

Timperley Lacrosse Club was founded in 1970 when Chorlton-cum-Hardy relocated to Timperley Sports Club, with the team initially made up of former Chorlton members and boys from William Hulme's Grammar school. The club has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that caters to players from complete beginners to international players. The club has a proud history of international representation, with members representing England and Scotland at the most recent men's and women's World Championships.

Club Facilities and Activities

  • Weekly matches from September to April
  • Floodlit Junior and Senior training on Wednesday evenings
  • Starter Lacrosse session for children aged 5 upwards on Saturday morning 9 -10
  • Three grass pitches and two all-weather pitches
