Fantastic weekend for the Club as our final 'big push' on the Green Pitch Project and our first 'Outside Broadcast' for the Live Stream on facebook ! Thanks to Jarrod Sykes and Phil Westwood for hosting the online event and keeping us entertained during the final countdown !

Huge thanks to everyone for their support with the Auction and Donations we have raised just over £9,000 (45%) of our £20,000 Target for the Green Pitch !

The Great Timperley Auction - tops £7000 !
All expectations were totally exceeded by the way the Auction has captured the interest of Club members and supporters from the number of donations of 'Lots' to the 1029 Bids made during the Auction to the incredible sum raised !

Thanks to Jarrod Sykes and Col Taylor for developing the idea and getting it up and running - its been a big mad at times but has raised an incredible sum in a very short time towards the Green Pitch Fund.

The final scores on the doors were:
- Total Auction Bids - £6760
- Topped up to £7,000 by an anonymous members for which we are very grateful
- 1029 Bids made
- 140 people registered to Bid
- £1000 added to the bids in the last 12 hours !

We have also received donations of £1500 over the weekend from two long standing club members / supports and more on those in our next update. Again we can't than members enough for the support and we hope everyone also enjoyed the lock down excitement of who was bidding for what ! If your bid won your Lot - then Jumbleebee will have mailed you about settling up what you owe and collecting your Lots from the Club.

300 Club Draw
Great support again for our regular monthly fund-raiser - this month 247 entries in the Draw and we used our new formula to adjust the Prize Fund to reflect the number of entries! Thanks again for the tremendous support.

The 20th June 2020 Draw Winner were:

- 2nd Prize £75 - Paul Raftery
- 3rd Prize £40 - Ben Entwisle
- 4th Prize £30 - Col Taylor
- 5th Prize £20 - Colm O'Neill

We've now edged up to 133 regular monthly members and would encourage members to consider joining as a 'regular' to make sure you never miss out on a Draw - you can always top up and buy an On The Night Number too ! Countdown to the Green Pitch Project (GPP)
The brilliant progress to fund-raise the last £20,000 needed given up a real boost ahead of the main contractors coming on site in a couple of weeks (weather permitting !). With the final grant and loan paperwork in place the work this weekend moved ahead with some of the more practical preparations !

Work was successfully completed to unblock and replace the issue we've had with the artificial pitch drainage. This is an important part of the project to make sure the drainage does what it needs to to keep the pitches and site drained especially as we experience more extreme weather year on year. It will also mean the end of getting the brushes and squeegees out to clear water off the green pitch!

The main work to clear the pitch surround hedge are and undergrowth was also completed with the hawthorn hedge now fully liberated along the green pitch! The final piece of work will be to clear more of the soil and recover the french drain adjacent to the pitch to improve any surface water run off and keep the new pitch in tip top condition. Thanks to Andrew and Ben Entwisle, Shelagh Everett, Gary Fisher and Alan Holdsworth who have helped with the manual side of the job and to Jon Mawby and Gareth Tucker did an amazing job with the power tools on Saturday to help finish the main job off !

We launch our next Green Pitch Project fund-raiser next weekend with our Buy a Square donation scheme - look out for the short video trailer sharing how there's nothing square about helping donate a square to the new pitch fund! We're hoping the with donation options for all pockets that the 'Buy A Square' scheme will help us raise the second half of our £20,000 GPP target by the time the pitch opens later this summer.
