Important: New TSC Social Distancing Procedures for all members, visitors, parents

New Government legislation on Social Distancing came into effect on Monday 14th September 2020. The attached Operating Procedures set out how Timperley Sports Club (TSC) and its’ four sports sections will respond and implement a number of additional measures to meet the new requirements with immediate effect. These will add to or amend procedures already in place for the running of the Clubhouse and grounds and the delivery of our four sports in line with National Governing Body Guidance (Cricket, Football, Hockey and Lacrosse).

These procedures aim to provide an overall framework to link the roles and responsibilities of our fours sports sections (Cricket, Football,Hockey and Lacrosse), Club employees and the TSC Board in delivering a safe on site environment for all.

To keep the 'Sport On' and the 'Club Open' we need everyone who comes to the Club to play their part and adapt their behaviour and actions to follow the new Government Regulations and changes in the law. If we all do our bit then we will be able to continue to offer lots of sport and activity and the opportunity to enjoy our club - albeit in more 'new normal' conditions.

Lets do this together - support our volunteers and club employees and make as painless as possible! Please take a few minutes to read the Procedures and help us implement them across all parts of the Club and for each of our four sports.

The TSC Ltd Board, including our four Sports Section Chairs (Cricket, Football, Hockey and Lacrosse) have approved the Procedures to ensure we can continue to offer sport for all at the club.

Follow the guidance on site,new signage and ways of doing things to put the procedures into practice. Most importantly, support our volunteers working so hard to make 'covid safe' sport happen and staff team keeping the club 'covid safe' to allow us to open. The procedures set out the process we will follow if individuals or groups do not follow the 'Rule of 6' and 'Social Distancing' including people being asked to leave the Club and ultimately sessions being suspended or the Club closed.

Key Principles

Our response to implementing the wide range of Government and National Governing Body (NGB) Covid 19 restrictions, rules and guidance at TSC is based on the following principles:

• SAFE CLUB - creating and maintaining a safe environment for all (members, employees and visitors) at Timperley Sports Club on and off the field of play
• SAFE SPORT – creating and maintaining safe playing and training environments for our four sports
• TEAM EFFORT – working together to put in place the deliver a Safe Club and Safe Sport - members; volunteers; sections committees; employees and the Board – to delivery on
• SELF RESPONSIBILITY – every member, and if under 18s parents and guardian, must take personal responsibility for their own social distancing and support the Club to comply with local and national requirements

Can you help keep the club and your sport 'Covid Safe' ?

Our Sports sections need more volunteers - one for each team and training session to help coaches and organisers manage off the pitch social distancing.Are you a spectator, parent,partner or non playing members who can help remind folks to stay 2m apart and follow the 'Rule of 6' ? If so contact your teams coach, manager or captain.

We also need overall 'cricket, hockey, football and lacrosse Marshalls for each match day / training sessions who can help manage the 'off pitch' people side of social distancing in the car parks, around the pitches and support those looking after each team

New TSC Covid Marshalls - to support the overall coordination across all four sports and in the general club areas (outside the clubhouse / decking etc) the four Sports Sections have agreed to jointly fund with the Club paid 'TSC Covid Marshall Role' for match days and peak usage times at the Club. These roles will work with, and support our section volunteers and bar staff, and to help us to continue to deliver 'Safe Club - Safe Sport'

Sports Sections will update players , officials and parents on any changes to pre / post match or training arrangements for the sport to ensure we all make this work.
