Its that time of year ! Local Roads will be closed and access to the club restricted on Sunday 19th April 2026 as the Manchester Marathon passes along Stockport Rd, through Timperley and Altrincham. The club, bar and terrace will be open as normal.

No vehicle access to club from Stockport Rd. Access to the Club is via Wood Lane and the Wood Lane TSC entrance (be aware this gate has a height restrictor on it at 6'6") and access will be restricted to essential users who have been given an access pass and those who do not live locally and require access to the club by vehicle. If you require access via Wood Lane please contact your section about an access pass.

Marathon Stewards will be stationed on Wood Lane and will not allow access without a pass - please print out and put in windscreen.

If you are local and can walk or cycle to the club please do as it will help reduce congestion on those roads that are open.

There will be a crossing point the the traffic lights / junction of Moss Lane / Wood Lane for pedestrians

Planned sport this sport on Sunday - please triple check with your sections to confirm details if unsure:

• NO Junior football training at the Club (9am to 11am)
• No Junior lacrosse planned at the Club
• Junior Hockey is going ahead as normal on the Green Pitch 11am to 12.30pm
• Timperley Talent Academy v Sheffield Talent Academy Hockey - pre game prep and Matches Girls (1pm) and Boys (3pm) meet times vary
• The Cricket 5th XI are also playing at home too - 2pm start

Parents / players should plan to walk or cycle to the club using the crossing points where possible or park off site away from the club and car share if they require an access pass. Be aware that illegally parked cars will be removed / clamped.
