Planning Permission Approved for Clubhouse Redevelopment!

Another big step forward this week to to redevelop the clubhouse and bar find out more about what’s planned and how to get involved!

We’re delighted to share with members and our local community users and partners that our recent planning application to update and improve the clubhouse has been approved.

Thank you to all members who submitted their support for the application to Trafford and our planning advisor and member, Neil Lucas from Ashton Hale, and Alan Simpson from 10Architects and all those involved.

With planning approved we can now move forward to finalising the detailed project planning, business case, tendering/costings, funding, detailed project plan, agreeing the delivery plan and how we operate during the build and appointing contractors.

The planning application and next phase of work includes, subject to financials:

Extending the current clubhouse in two areas, that subject to cost, can be delivered as one project or standalone and staggered depending on funds. They are:

Extending the building along the west facing side (facing ATP’s) to include:

  • Small extension to bar area to provide options for opening up space as part of the wider bar refurbishment and remodelling
  • extended kitchen, food storage and bar cellar areas to support the current and future requirements
  • increase in number of toilets for the function room
  • increased storage for function room furniture and equipment

Extending the building to the south side (facing green ATP) to create:

  • New entrance for the function room / community space
  • Extended function room / community space

The next phase of Club Development comes on the back of all the projects and investment over the past few years including the £500,000 invested in playing surfaces since 2020. This next exciting phase will bring benefits to all members and users are we focus on the building and the bar area and how we refresh, modernise and revitalise the whole environment!

We'll be sharing more of the next few weeks on:

  • The redesign and complete remodelling of our bar - including how to get involved by sharing and input your ideas, and the approach we'll be using with professional support and expertise to make sure we make the most of this major opportunity and investment in tour club
  • How to you can support and get involved if your have some of the professional skills needed to support delivery of the overall project
  • How we'll raise the money for the project including fundraising and ways to help us make the most of this opportunity
  • Details of the other elements of the project to be completed

We're also working to update and approve the overall business case to support the investment, the overall budget and how we will fund the work and our future business plan including how we can use the changes to continue to make the club a vibrant and sustainable community sports club.

We hope members and the wider TSC community will be exciting about the approval of planning permission the green light it gives us to move the club forward even further.
