The final total from the bids in the Auction is now in and we're delighted to share that we have raised a whopping £8,866, the highest for the three auctions we've run, but sadly just short of our £10,000 target - but a tremendous effort by everyone.
The money raised will help fund the cost of a major, once in a generation, refurbishment of the bar, alongside extending the building and other on site works as we work towards completing the final phases of Project 18. See a brief project update below.
The Auction wouldn't be possible without the support and generosity of:
On behalf of the club and our members, we'd like to thank everyone whose got involved and helped us start this 'big push' to raise the final £100,000 towards the redevelopment work from fundraising events, like the auction, growing the 300 club, donations (including the opportunity to gift aid) and raising fund community shares.

Project Update
Thanks to everyone who came along to the 'drop in session' before the AGM to see the easy visuals for how the bar refurbishment / redesign and layout, and to those who attended the AGM for the more detailed update. We've had really good feedback and the whilst people liked elements of each style the modern sports bar with some touches of tradition came through as a popular choice. The Bar Designers are working on a more detailed set of proposals including the types of finish and furnishings and we'll be holding another 'drop in event' to come along to and have a look and share final feedback.
On the main building extension, its been a period deep in the detail working with 10Architects and our professional advisor team to get the project to RIBA Stage 4 (detailed design) . This week a number of site surveys were completed and we're working on finalising the plans so that we can put the tender document out over the next few weeks. Current work includes having commercial kitchen designers on site and the brewery to work with us on the 'spec' We're a little behind but its key we get the specification as detailed and scoped as possible for the tender to ensure we have don't miss anything that costs us down the line.
We're also working on getting more information about the project visible in the club and working with the board and sections. Key next steps include completing the full tender documentation and pack for the extension, running the tender and then appointing the main contractor with a target to start work subject to contract in January 2026. Alongside this we have work ongoing on the bar design and the wider site and finalising sourcing external funding to supplement the fundraising for the overall project.
A lot is going on in the background to complete this detailed stage of planning and preparation and we're grateful to John McGuire (non Playing former hockey member) and Andy Murphy (Hockey) for joining to core project team to bring their professional skills, experience and time. They join the core TSC P18 team: Bob Pag; Shelagh Everett; Colin Taylor and Andrew Entwisle (Finance) who report to the Board, and are supported by Neil Lucas our planing adviser and the external professional services team.
Thanks again to all our bidders for paying for the Lots and collecting them from the club - we don't get the final total till all bids have been paid. If you were a lucky winning bidder you should have been contacted by the Club or Donor already abut your 'Lot'. If not please contact Colin Taylor info@timperley-sports.com. The final few Lots are ready for collection from the club. Please bring proof of payment from Jumblebee and ask the bar staff to assist when coming to collect.
