
As a Community Sports Club, Member annual subscriptions and sports sections fees, form an important part of our annual income to enable us to run and develop our shared facilities and run all our sporting programmes.
Please help support our volunteers who manage the subs collection process for our 1700 members by paying on time or getting in touch with your section membership officer if you have any problems or queries.
For playing members annual fees to play sports at Timperley Sports Club are made up of two elements:
1. Timperley Sports Club subscription (‘TSC Subs’) are used to run and develop our shared Club facilities and services, including: the clubhouse and bar, pitches and grounds, and all the associated costs of running the Club for members’ benefit. The TSC sub covers all four sports and offers incredible value if playing more than one sport.
2. Additional Sports Section fees are used by sports section committees to run our four sports (Cricket, Hockey, Lacrosse and Football) including: coaching costs, fees, sporting body affiliations, equipment etc. These are collected through a section fee collected section fees and or match fees.
Like many organisations, we have experienced a significant year on year increases in our running costs and despite actions to reduce costs, and generate other income, we have to increase made a small increase to TSC Subs for 2026-27 of on average 4.5%. We also benchmark our subs v comparable multi-sports club as well, especially when comparing our facilities, which remain some of the best in the North West.

Club Development Contribution
As many members will be aware we have are reaching the final phases of our major development programme (Project 18) and in 2026 we are also extending and undertaking a major refurbishment of the clubhouse and improving our facilities. We have some of the best playing facilities in the North and the planned work will significantly improve our off pitch facilities. To contribute towards the project fundraising target our four Sports Section’s, and the TSC Ltd Board, have agreed to introduce a one off contribution for all members for season 2026/27 to go towards the cost of the clubhouse improvements as a fair and equitable way to raise c.£20,000 towards the project through a small one off contribution for each of our 1700 members in 2026/27. For ease of collection and payment, the members development contribution will be added your TSC subscriptions and collected through the online system – including the option to pay by instalments.
For 2026/27 the one off additional club development donation will be incorporated into the Club Membership fees:
• £12 for all members aged under 18 (equivalent of £1 a month)
• £18 for all members aged 18+ (equivalent to £1.50 per month)
If you are a tax payer, please opt into to Gift Aid to enable us to increase the value of your contribution.

Whilst this was no one’s immediate first choice, when sections and the board sat down to plan the next stage of fundraising, it was decided to be a fair and equitable way to raise 20% (£20,000) of the fundraising total with minimal impact on members or volunteers who would otherwise have to run event and fundraising to generate this amount. As a member owned community benefit society, this approach was agreed as a fair way to share the cost of investment across the Club and its membership.
The membership subscriptions rates for 2026-27 show the increase in subs (average 4.5%) and then the total amount including the development contribution of £12 or £18 depending on age.
